Wastewater Collection and Treatment

CSID manages the district’s wastewater. The water from your homes and businesses’ drains is received through a series of pipes and lift stations to our facility. Once at our facility, we use microorganisms in large tanks to breakdown organic matter. The organisms are then separated from the water through several treatment processes. The organisms continue to go through separation processes until they become a solid which is then trucked to landfills or sod farms. The resulting water is then safe for disposal. CSID has two deep injection wells that dispose of the treated wastewater 3,500 feet below the land’s surface.
